Privacy policy for applicants

Our handling of your data and your rights information according to Art. 13, 14 and 21 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

With these data protection notices, we inform you, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), about the processing of your personal data by us as well as about the rights you are entitled to. These references will be updated as necessary and published at www.energywatchgroup.org.

1. Who is responsible for data processing and whom can I contact?

We process data that you submit to us as part of your application in our home. The data we receive directly from you.
Specifically, we process the following data:
Personal data according to your submitted application documents such as
  • First and last name
  • Date of birth / place of birth
  • qualifications
  • Phone numbers
  • Address
  • certificates, qualifications
  • Career
  • E-mail address
  • Marital status
  • nationality
3. For what do we process your data (purpose of the processing) and on which legal basis?
In the following, we will inform you about what and on what legal basis we process your data. 3.1. Decision on the establishment / implementation of an employment relationship (Section 26 (1) S.1 BDSG)
We process your data to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship with you. At the same time, the data serve as the basis for carrying out a possibly justified employment relationship. 3.2. In the context of the balance of interests (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR)
We may also use your information based on a balance of interests to protect the legitimate interests of us or third parties. This is done for the following purposes:
  • Intra-group transfer of your data in order to be able to address you to other vacant positions if necessary.

As a rule, our interest in the respective processing results from the fact that we strive for the most efficient recruiting possible.

3.3. Based on your consent (§ 26 Abs. 2 BDSG)
In cases where the processing of your personal data goes beyond the purpose of carrying out the application process, it must be legitimized by individual consent. Insofar as you have given us consent to the processing of your personal data, the respective consent is the legal basis for the processing mentioned therein.
This concerns in particular your possible consent with:
  • processing of your data for a period of more than three months after completing the application process (in case of cancellation)
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
As far as the specific purpose allows, we process your data pseudonymized or anonymized. 4. Who gets my data?
A disclosure of your data is only under confidentiality and only to the extent that a legal basis allows.

Within Energy Watch Group, those jobs will receive your data, which they need to carry out the application process. This applies in particular to the central areas combined in Energy Watch Group within the scope of order processing pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO.

5. How long will my data be stored?

If necessary, we process your personal data for the duration of the application process. Insofar as you have given us your consent, we process your data beyond the completion of the application process (see above).
Finally, the storage period is also judged according to the statutory limitation periods. Taking account of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), this amounts to three months.

6. What other privacy rights do I have?

Under the respective legal prerequisites they have the right to information (Article 15 GDPR, Section 34 BDSG), Correction (Article 16 GDPR), Deletion (Article 17 GDPR, Section 35 BDSG), Limitation of processing (Article 18 GDPR ) and data portability (Article 20 GDPR). In addition, you have a right of appeal to the competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO, § 19 BDSG).

7. Is there an obligation for me to provide data?
As part of the application process, we have to process certain data in order to be able to examine the professional and personal suitability of an applicant for a certain position and to ensure a fair application process with respect to other applicants. Without provision of this data, we will generally not be able to complete the application process.
This does not apply to data that we process by you within the scope of a consent (see above).
