Hans-Josef Fell
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Hans-Josef was a member of the German Bundestag for BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN from 1998 to 2013 and is the initiator of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), the foundation for the expansion of renewable energy in Germany and worldwide. Hans-Josef initiated EWG in 2006 and has been representing it as President since its inception.
Dr. Hartmut Fischer

Hartmut Fischer has over 13 years of experience in top management consulting, focusing on integrating climate protection with business success, as well as strategy and organization for environmental authorities at the federal and state levels. He then spent 16 years building and leading the internal management consulting division at Deutsche Bahn. Most recently, Hartmut Fischer collaborated with Greenpeace, GermanZero, among others, developing strategies and analyses for the swift and economic achievement of zero emissions in Germany, presenting them to decision-makers in federal politics and the federal government.
Sophie Marquitan
DIRECTOR
With +10 years of experience in building and developing impact-driven organisations, Sophie fosters systemic change. She has held strategic roles in social enterprises and NGOs in the fields of climate, education, migration and health and was co-founder of Klimaliste Berlin. Sophie studied social sciences and economics and holds a Master of Science in International Business with a focus on organisational development from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
Felix Rodenjohann
SHAREHOLDER
Felix Rodenjohann is a Climate Ambassador for the EU Commission, climate protection consultant, and partner and co-founder of ansvar2030. He studied Communication and Media Management in Germany and Ireland and has worked for more than 10 years in the fields of economic development, green infrastructure, and climate strategy. He is also the founder of the think tank ‘THE CLIMATE TASK FORCE.’

Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert
Chairperson of the Scientific Advisory Board
Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert is a Professor of Energy Economics and Sustainability at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and Head of the Energy, Transportation, and Environment Department at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). Her research activities focus on the evaluation of climate and energy policy strategies. Claudia Kemfert advised European Commission President José Manuel Barroso in a “High-Level Group on Energy and Climate” and serves as an external expert for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
Prof. Dr. Christian Breyer
Chairperson of the Scientific Advisory Board
Prof. Dr. Christian Breyer is a Professor of Solar Economy at Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland. His main focus is on the integrated exploration of the technological and economic characteristics of renewable energy systems, modeling energy systems, and scenarios for 100% renewable energy. Previously, he served as the Managing Director of the Reiner Lemoine Institute in Berlin. Christian Breyer earned his doctorate in the field of hybrid PV power plants’ economics and is the author and co-author of approximately 90 scientific publications.

Linda has experience in municipal climate protection consulting and working with non-profit organizations and associations. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Cologne and is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Plural Economics at the University of Siegen.
Frank Bahrenberg
Administration
Frank can draw on over 30 years of experience in project and operations management across various industries. He has been supporting the Energy Watch Group in all administrative areas since October 2022. Furthermore, he has been an integral part of ansvar2030 Holding GmbH for many years, as well as tremoniamedia Filmproduktion and The Climate Task Force, which are actively involved in comprehensive climate protection consulting.
