Renewable energy<\/strong>\u00a0sources are not only the best solution for economic reasons and energy security, but also because they are prerequisite for a peaceful\u00a0and sustainable\u00a0planet Earth. With this in mind Energy Watch Group President\u00a0Hans-Josef Fell<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Eurovision Song Contest Winner\u00a0Ruslana<\/strong>\u00a0have\u00a0launched a new joint\u00a0global peace campaign<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0100% renewables<\/strong>. Another positive news comes from the\u00a0European Parliament<\/strong>, which adopted the report calling to\u00a0strengthen\u00a0EU climate action<\/strong>.\u00a0Renewables keep squeezing\u00a0out\u00a0fossil fuels<\/strong>\u00a0steadily out of power, according to BNEF, as solar continues to rise around the world. Yet, to achieve Paris Agreement targets, more clean energy investment and more action in industry, transport and building sectors is needed, studies show. We welcome the latest moves by the world’s largest reinsurers Hannover Re<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Swiss Re<\/strong>, joining the list\u00a0of institutions,\u00a0divesting from fossil fuels<\/strong>.
